Healthcare Standards & Certification Criteria – Updates & Resources

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) issued an update to the Standards and Certification Criteria Rule. It was, essentially, a correction to remove an implementation guide from the public health agency surveillance and reporting criteria. The implementation specification is “not appropriate” for implementing the adopted HL7 2.5.1 standard, so it is now removed. Outlined below is a new matrix reflecting the update.

As part of this update, a few additional resources which are very helpful as you continue to plan and implement your initiatives to meet the Meaningful Use criteria.
